Background

Dan’s 52-year journalism career spans the gamut from broadcast analyst and commentator  to writer, author and entrepreneur.  Accuracy, speed, dependability and versatility are the hallmarks of his career and qualities valued by travel editors.

Dan has held full-time editorial positions with American Express, Motor Club of America, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, The Bergen Jewish News, the North Jersey Herald-NewsWoman’s World Magazine, and M. Silver Associates (a travel-oriented PR firm).  

He is co-founder, president emeritus, and former awards Chairman for NATJA (North American Travel Journalists Association).  He is also former travel editor for New Jersey Lifestyle Magazine and The Maggie Linton Show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio.  Dan’s byline has appeared in AAA Horizons (Southern New England), AAA North Jersey Traveler, AAA LivingHemispheres (United Airlines), New Jersey Business, SoGoNow.com, Travel World International, and US Airways Magazine.

He is the former travel editor of both Hooters and At Your Leisure and a former travel columnist for the North Jersey Herald-News and Single People.

Dan’s byline has also appeared in the travel sections of many newspapers, including the Boston HeraldBuffalo Evening NewsCharlotte ObserverDenver PostNew York PostRochester Democrat and ChronicleSan Antonio Express-News, and Staten Island Advance.  He has also contributed to Copley News Service, Delta Sky, and numerous in-flight and general interest magazines.

Dan is the creator, host, and executive producer of Travel Itch Radio, a weekly Thursday night broadcast with an interview format that is heard on BlogTalkRadio.com and iTunes and posted online in perpetuity.
